Lono “Kaehu” Tuitele Shines on the International Stage

Lono “Kaehu” Tuitele‘s journey from the local soccer fields of Hawaii to the international arena has been a testament to his unwavering dedication and passion for the sport. Growing up, Kaehu was known for his relentless work ethic and natural talent, which quickly set him apart from his peers. His rise through the ranks of youth soccer in Hawaii has been nothing short of extraordinary, culminating in his recent achievements on the world stage.

This summer, Kaehu took his talents to the international level, representing the Samoan national team in the FIFA Men’s U19 division. As a defensive midfielder, he played a pivotal role in all four of Samoa’s matches, showcasing his tactical awareness, defensive prowess, and ability to read the game. His performances were nothing short of exceptional, earning him praise from coaches, teammates, and opponents alike. His standout play did not go unnoticed, as he has now been nominated for a spot on the Oceania FIFA World Cup 2026 squad. This nomination is a monumental accomplishment, placing Kaehu among the top young talents in the Oceania region and solidifying his status as a rising star in the world of soccer.

Kaehu’s journey is a source of inspiration for many young athletes, not just in Hawaii but around the world. His story serves as a reminder that with hard work, determination, and love for the game, anything is possible. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Kaehu on his nomination and wish him the best of luck as he continues to chase his dreams on the soccer field. The future looks incredibly bright for this young talent, and we can’t wait to see what he achieves next.

But Kaehu is not the only player from Hawaii making headlines. The 2005 team also features two outstanding players, Andrew Lovell and Tyson Norr, both of whom have made significant contributions to the Hawaiian National Team. Andrew Lovell, who currently plays for Cal Baptist, and Tyson Norr, representing Hawaii Pacific University (HPU), have been instrumental in the team’s success.

The success of these players is a reflection of the growing soccer culture in Hawaii, where young athletes are increasingly making their mark on the national and international stages. The Hawaiian National Team’s achievements this summer are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the players, coaches, and support staff who have worked tirelessly to elevate the program to new heights.

Honolulu Bulls Soccer Club Fantasy Premier League (FPL)

Bulls Soccer Club Ohana,

The annual Honolulu Bulls Soccer Club Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is back! Last year saw 50+ Bulls player, coaches & parents battle it out for 38 games weeks. It was a tight race with late season pushes from shrewd managers who were rewarded for their smart moves and planning. It came down to the last day and bench boost cards to see our President Justin Facciolo edge out fellow Board member Trevor Funk by 2 points. Many of our Bulls players and some of our Coaches had respectable finishes as the climbed the rankings after some growing pains.

This year’s EPL Fantasy League kicks off on August 16th. This year we will raise the stakes and add prizes for the top 3 finishers. Hundreds of dollars in Soccer.com gift certificates will go to the winners with the Champion’s name being woven into the tapestry of Bulls history as their name is etched into the Honolulu Bulls FPL trophy! We hope this creates a lot of excitement and sees participation skyrocket! Please read the below information in its entirety. Honolulu Bulls Soccer Club FPL league has been created and is exclusive to Bulls players, families and coaches. Your teams must be locked in by 730am on August 16th which is the Game Week 1 deadline.

What is the Fantasy Premier League? If you’ve heard of NFL Fantasy it’s a similar concept but played a bit differently. After selecting 15 players you’ll need to select a starting lineup that will be scored for points during each game week. After all games are played your score will be totaled for the week. Each week you are allowed to make transfers. 1 transfer each week is free while additional transfers will cost you a points deduction from the total week’s points. Your weekly scores will be added for a final points score at the end of the year. The Highest Score Wins the league. Step 8 below provides a link to explain how points are tallied. Be sure to read the rules within the website or app( https://fantasy.premierleague.com/help/rules ). There have been some interesting rule changes this year like the increase in number of banked transfers from 2 to 5. An app is available for download on your smart phones. Enter “Premier League- Official App” in the app search. Within the app is the “fantasy” game centered on the bottom menu tab marked by a game jersey icon and the word “Fantasy” below it.

See the step-by-step instructions on how to sign up below. FPL fantasy is a lot of fun. It’s competitive, creates conversations among the players, teams and coaches, and it’s a good incentive for the kids to watch and pay more attention to professional soccer. I hope this creates a lot of interest for the Club and we can all have a fun time with it.

We hope to see as many of you as possible in attendance! Your participation and support mean a lot to us, and we look forward to a wonderful time together.
